Chrome has removed many non MV3 complaint extensions now. There are temporary workarounds but suffice to say Google wants to impose ads and make the browsing experience horrible given this. Most extensions like JShelter, uBlock and Malwarebytes now have a note saying the extension is basically being severely limited in filters as a result of MV3.

Version 139/140 in Chrome is the target date. Other Chromium based browsers like Brave, Edge. Vivaldi, and Opera will delay the block as long as possible.
