It doesn't allow me to. Even if I do it manually it doesn't stick, links still open in Firefox.

I think it's safe to say I broke it when trying MSEdgeRedirect and I obviously failed to remember to restore. Images have since been removed and the new image would reflect the current state.

I had that problem before if you reverse read this thread with Canary and I forgot what I did to fix it, @antspants. I also have MSEdgeRedirect installed which was the first time I installed it on June 29, 2024 but it's v0.7.5.3 which is also the current version and I don't have any issues with it. I forgot who it was that taught me how to fix it but it was also in this thread. I always had Chrome Beta for my default browser and only Chrome Dev as of a few weeks ago when I added Chrome Dev.

Not even needed, it takes eggsactly 3 seconds to fix if it is what I think it is and it has nothing whatsoever to do with MSEdgeRedirect because I also have it installed since June 29, 2024 and I don't have the problem.

Actually, you helped me at my most difficult time when Google Chrome replaced all my tabs on the other computer... While I didn't totally fix that yet.... I did get about 33% done. After I get those tabs done, all I need to do is migrate the HISTORY file and the sessions folder and it will reopen everything like before. Good luck and just post as I get e-mail notifications for this thread. Let's hope post #1844 is the solution, if not then we will figure it out.

I remember, now. I tried Europe Mode and when I rebooted, Microsoft was telling me it was going to make changes to Office. I reloaded a system image as fast as I could in fear I’d lose my Office license.

Then I used Active mode.

Wow, yours has a lot of entries. If you don't care about the data in Edge, you can always just uninstall and reinstall EDGE which requires manually deleting the data folder before installing again. Try this, don't touch the EDGE you have now, install another channel of EDGE and see if the same problem still exists. That way you will know if it's really a systemwide issue or if it's only the EDGE channel installed that is the problem.

I believe most of those entries are from Winaero tweaker, blocking useless functionality on Edge for me.

Could very well be which is why it might be a good idea to see what the entries are in the registry. That way, you can see what triggered it. I mean you can always just rename the Edge to Edge1 or something and see what happens then rename it back.
