Interesting. I was just prompted to run a scan because new downloads were detected, so I did. After that, I also checked for updates, since I did not check yesterday at all, playing catch up after the Memorial Day holiday on Monday.

I got an update all right - just a slightly newer one.

I just updated MBAM and ran it to no avail.
I suspect malware b/c when I clcik on settings to get to update it used to go quickly and now it buffers for 5 seconds. I ran windows security and then ran updated MBAM to no avail.

First I found I was running WIFI and ethernet together which fixed my slow issue when I disabled WIFI. It was an error.

Thank you for the invitatation to the MBAM forum but I am using the free edition. I go to advanced scan and check all drives and rootkits checked also.

I did no think free users could use the forum at MBAM? 👍

Actually, it is the only official Malwarebytes support for free users since the corporate help desk is only for subscribers.
