LEDs on when off but now they flash.

Normally when I turn off my rig the LEDs all stay on which isn't a problem.
Lately though they flash and the power button doesn't react between flashes. I have to hit the button while they're briefly lit up and then the system runs fine.

Could this be a sign of a dying PSU or faulty power cord?

RGB Fusion which came with the motherboard software but the fans have their own RGB box so they only use power from the PSU.

what brand psu do you have?

you can run tests on them. it could be faulty, but i would run tests first and open the case side panels to ensure there is no bare connection touching anywhere (if a power cable got crimped when fitting into the case, or a fan caught one somehow

It's an EVGA 1000. I think it's about 8 years old. My power meter shows under full load the rig tops out at 800watts.

10 RGB fans

1 Sold state
And a stupid high electric bill...
