I have LibreOffice v7.6.4.1 installed and Ghacks website shows that v24.2 is now released. See LibreOffice 24.2 released: enables automatic recovery of documents - gHacks Tech News and photos.
I checked and it is true (as I expected from Ghacks) but the jump from v7 to v24 seems weird. I would have expected it to be v8 or something like that, but v24 is a totally different naming format. When I check for updates there are none found.
Is v24 really the next version after v7 or are they different products? Maybe LibreOffice have decided on a new naming convention to reflect the year of release but it would be nice to know if that's true or not.
