I believe superseded by GHub. Last update for the gaming software Win 10/11 64bit was in 2022
GHub has some preset popular game profiles, you can scan for other games.

The second question is better answered by many hardware makers submit driver information to Microsoft for inclusion in the Operating System.

I frequently that when working on clients' computer and when I use a Logitech/Logi mouse. Most times I use a Bluetooth mouse.

The Logi I've seen are what they call Unifying devices, keyboard and mouse come as a set and use the same USB dongle.

Lose the dongle for the Logitech mouse or keyboard, throw away the mouse or keyboard, they are matched only to the dongle they came with.

Actually, no, @Berton. There is Logitech Unifying Software that will allow you to use a second dongle (you can purchase from Logitech) to connect to the mouse and keyboard.

And this just gave me an idea! I am going to try to connect this desktop keyboard and mouse to a second dongle plugged into my lappy so I don't have to use two keyboard/mouse sets!

We'll see if it will work in a few . . .

Yeah, understood. One of my students has a wired mouse because she can't keep up with the dongle. I just leave it plugged into the computer. Lately, some Logitech mice I've seen have dongles that aren't unified, so I wonder about them. And there are mice sold everywhere that aren't Logitech . . .

And, I had to take a nap, so haven't tried the other thing yet.

Early Logitech wireless mice didn't use a unifying receiver. I think I read where you could only use the receivers with the devices it came with.

Logitech unifying receivers can pair up to 6 devices at one time. You can buy a replacement unifying receivers. I had to buy one when one went bad. That is no big deal since any mouse can be used with any unifying receiver. I have even had 2 mice paired. Both mice could be used at the same time.

I agree that Logitech mice that come without a unifying receiver can most likely only be used with the dongle that came with 'em.

As I said somewhere up above, replacement dongles are available from Logitech. And I know this is true because I had to buy one for one of my Logitech Wave keyboard/mouse combo. :(

I'm glad to see you've had two mice paired to one dongle . . . that's my next test, except I want to pair my Wave keyboard/mouse combo with two dongles so I can have a dongle in each computer. IOW, I want to be able to use only one keyboard/mouse combo for the two computers without changing things around.

I thought I would get around to this test earlier, but life has a way of getting in the way.
