Looking for a good Network utility

I'm looking for a good utility to backup and restore my network profile settings. Sometimes for reasons unknown to me my Wifi seems to go out. I can reboot my router to get it going again and sometimes that doesn't work. I get a message where no Wi-Fi networks are found. And I have to restore the whole PC from an image backup. So, backing up just my network settings would be great.

Need it for Windows 11

Failing network adapter??

Test with USB wifi dongle. If it still happens, it's the network. If it doesn't, you've got the dongle, problem fixed

The router is working perfectly right now. Just once in a while I have to reset it. This morning both my wife's phone and mine had Wi-Fi, plus her laptop, I had nothing on my computer. Reset the router twice and still had nothing. Went to church and when I got home I had Wi-Fi. I can't figure it out.

It's quite obvious. You went to church and God turned your Wi-Fi ON as a reward.

Personally I would get one of these with an external antenna. This is a wifi-6 adapt or. which will work with anything below that standard. I don't know what your router wifi version/bandwidth is, so you might go for a lower speed on that page at a lower price. Assuming you have a PCI-e slot for it.

I find these small USB adapters get very hot and that reduces their lifetime.

Nope. Been using them off and on as a remedial solution in multiple circumstances. Old ones still going strong (currently got 5 running in the office now as, coincidentally, the telco's string broke between the 2 jam tins - comparatively pretty poor service here in Aus - and we're off the air for a couple of days)

Nope? Are you saying my experience is wrong or that you have had a different experience than me? If the latter I am not insulted.
:-) If you are not very close to the router, the antenna option works much much better.

Well, I bought the one abactuon recommended and just got it and it works fine. My router is in the living room and about 35 feet away with one wall of separation. I tried it out and checked my internet speed and there is no difference at all...no slowdown.

So, if my blooming Wireless card does go bad, I can be up and running in no time.

Thanks again for the info in helping me.
