Lost internet connectivity due to recent security patch

Hi. I was wondering wtf happened and so I googled and found out latest Win11 security patch broke DHCP server. I went ahead and uninstalled the update, restarted and thought it would've been fixed. Nah, it still doesn't work. To make matters worse its a VM that has sensitive data that I can't really just reinstall.

What are my options here? Thanks!

try setting up the internet connection using static addressing
IP address
gateway
subnet mask
and which DNS server you prefer
i use cloudflare
IPv4 > 1.1.1.1 primary
IPv4 > 1.0.0.1 secondary

then try the connection

I realise that it's a bit of a longshot but if you started off that VM or any other network drives by cloning any other network drives, it would have problems after some recent updates..
