Lost to add icloud to Outlook

Many times with Microsoft Windows 11 updates, Lost most of my emails. With help with Microsoft on phone and online agent, I cannot get iCloud emails accepted by Microsoft Outlook. Passwords are recorded on a file that I keep on 5 x 7 cards. I can get iCloud emails online with Google passwords and on iPhone app. I have the passwords recorded of iPhone password app. Trying to get a reset requires repeating the code characters shown and denied, sending repeated characters, repeating them online. Using iPhone photo is ignored. Microsoft states that accepted but "Cancel" only accepted. Via Google, I can see the emails. What am I doing wrong?

If you have 2fa set up for your icloud account you have to create an app specific password in icloud.

Have you tried deleting the account & setting it up again? Since the introduction of OAUTH 2.0 accounts require further verification which means users should be asked to sign into their account via their browser during setup or to create an app specific password which is used instead of the account password.
Depending on the age of the Outlook program it may not be compliant with the new authentication method however the inbuilt Outlook mail app is fine.
