Which in your expert opinion is the better brand PCI Gen 4 M.2 2230 NVMe SSD? WD, Micron/Crucial, Toshiba?

I can feel the difference with my new WD SN 810 PCI Gen 4 M.2 2280 drive.

I added that for informing the difference I felt with WD 2280 form factor. My laptop's slot #2 can only hold 2230.

Can you quantify this difference? For example, a task that used to take 42 seconds, now takes 35 seconds?

If the laptop is a Dell 15 5510, it only supports PCI-E 3.0, if the online specs are to be believed.

You could use a PCI-E 4.0 NVME drive in it, but it wouldn't operate above Gen 3 speeds.

I thought that the 2230 form factor was a dead end, but I guess that I was mistaken.

You are correct. 2330 is still alive.

No I can't in secs. or milli secs. might be a placebo effect. But the Read speed is x2 and Write x5 more.

My laptop uses Micron 2450 in 2280 form factor but these model also offer 2230 form factor. The drive runs pretty cool and it's fast.
