Hi i have a Macrium reflect license, i want to make a full image backup in a 128 GB SD card. the MC bounce back immediately with error.

could someone please tell me what it means here is the log

Gutsy trying to use an sd card for a system image.
Might be format issue on the sd card ?

Don't have a real hdd hanging around ?

Hi,
Create the winpe recovery media and take note of the drivers it shows check marks on
Sd card might not be listed or just not a compatible device.

yes I can access the SD card, with no problem and i just format it (quick format) and low-level format but still giving me error.
the reason i am backing up in an SD card is because this stupid laptop seems it’s made not to be opened.
i want to add an SSD 2.5" i know there is room for it, but i struggled.
The laptop is a Clevo NH55RZQ 15,6-inch Workstation, i bought it just before Brexit from one company in Holland called 'laptop with Linux'.
i may replace the SD card or take the laptop to the a repair shop to add an SSD.

I don't think SD cards are capable of the sustained high-speed writing that MR does in the imaging process. Get a thumb or put an SSD into an external enclosure (a lot less expensive than buying an external drive).

The problem may not be the SD card. I get silly problems like this when I add or reinstall Windows. I've been thinking it's because I break the rules with multiple bootable disks, but maybe it's just goofy SecureBoot/TPM code.

Simply re-booting maybe would fix it for me, but I run the Check tool on the various partitions also. To do that, right click on a partition, you may only have the C partition. Click Properties. Click the Tools tab. Click Check. It then says it doesn't need checking but I run it anyway.

Your log is saying that the MFT is corrupt for one of the source partitions that you are backing up, and that it needs to be fixed before you can image it. It tells you to run Chkdsk /R on C:, but as one with the same problem found, it may not necessarily be the C: partition that's corrupt.

When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

Thank you all for the helps i managed to fix it by repairing the “C" drive by right click on local drive C
Properties/tools and check button it did scan for errors and repair them. now Macrium working.
