Make Win11 save all Excel data before it automatically shuts down the laptop ?!

Is this a financial 'database' in Excel? I do the same - 44 cols x 3000 rows.

Hi Denis Nope, main worksheet (of many) has 100000+ rows

Has historical manufacturing data on vehicles.

But I arranged mine so that I could chop off [archive] records more than a year old and the in-use file therefore never gets above a few MB.

You might be able to instigate similar cleaning up.

Most data is already historical, only a bit new data is added each week.

But the main topic remains setting up your Critical battery level to Hibernate at a battery level that gives you the emergency one minute that you need for the file to be fully saved.

Denis

Yes, will set to Close Lid to Hibernate, I know where to find that.

But where do I tell the system to go to Hibernate when battery level is at X percent ?

Power options
Change plan settings
Change advanced power settings - the dialog where you set timing for monitor off, sleep after, hibernate after
battery section - right at the bottom
Critical battery level - but do look at all the other battery settings while you are there & make sure your Reserve level [a notification-only setting, no action takes place] is above your Critical level and that your Low level is above Reserve.

All the best,
Denis
