How do I get rid of it? I did a restore and fine for now. Till it shows up again. What gets me I do not know where I picked it up at. Not in extensions. It plants it self in the middle of the screen and it makes it hard to do anything.

I hope it's not some sort of malware. From time to time, I get fake virus alerts in a web browser. Some of them have claimed to be from McAfee.

(I'm disappointed that I get those popups without visiting any dodgy web sites. Apparently, some legitimate web sites accept ads from criminals.)

When I get it. You cannot do much of anything at all. Mainly shut the computer down.

It's on the ad services to monitor for and remove those, but typically in my experience they don't do it or do it well. These can be 'scare-ware' which try to trick you into purchasing fake software and others can lead you to a watering hole or trick you to download a first-stage malware with any number of objectives (crypto miners, credential theft, ransomware, extortion or adding your system to a bot net to name a few)
