Medie creation tool and ISO on phone how to install windows on new build PC

I'm building a new Pc made order from Amazon and waiting for parts to arrive.

I don't have a laptop or any other device other than my phone, So I downloaded Windows 11 ISO And the media creation tool to my phone.

I would like to know how to install windows on my computer

You can use the MCT or RUFUS to create a bootable USB stick with the Windows 11 ISO.
Then you can use the bootable Win 11 installation media (USB stick), to install Windows 11.

Are you sure the computer you're buying won't already have Windows 11 installed?

The Media Creation Tool is only available as a Windows application, as far as I know.

You'd need to prepare a bootable USB drive. That may be nearly impossible to do from a phone.

It may be possible to attach a FAT32 drive to an Android phone. There are Android utilities that would allow you to extract the contents of the ISO. For newer PCs, it's not necessary to specially prepare the USB drive to boot from it.

However, the ISO will probably contain an install.wim file, which will be larger than 4GB, so you couldn't simply copy that to a FAT32 drive.

Your task will be much simpler if you can access another PC.

Whether you could purchase a ready-made Windows 11 install drive in Germany for less than the full retail price, I have no idea.

You should be able to find someone that will let you use their computer for a few minutes.

I've heard it rumored that there's a few people in Germany that have computers. :cool:



You could probably just take an 8GB (or bigger), USB stick to a mom and pop computer shop, and they could create the install media for you. It only takes about 15 minutes to make.
Or any friend's computer, that's not infected. :-)

There is actually a few apps you can use to create a bootable drive on playstore. Ventoy, Drofus, and Ultimate USB work like a charm.
