I recommend you disable driver updates included in Windows Updates.
They just cause problems. But they'll now be optional drivers, if you ever need them.

I keep thinking of how Microsoft failed to detect my monitor and insisted on listing it as Generic PnP. Then I ran update and it successfully became Integrated Monitor - since I have a mobile workstation display.
