I never have the Content feature on, on the new tab, so just tried the links with it on and presto.
Thanks for the tip, but no luck. When I click on Follow interests, nothing happens. I have Content disabled by policy.

I ran Adblock Plus and then uBlock. uBlock was superior in my opinion. Then I just switched to the Brave browser across Windows, Android, and iOS. So much better, does ad blocking in the browser so no extension is needed. Even on Android and iOS! It's also Chromium-based, so regular Chrome extensions work.

It looks that the latest update has re-introduced spam notifications in Edge. :ffs:

edge://flags/#tab-hover-cards was removed. Why do you hate us MS, why, we love Edge and yet you keep making it difficult.

I agree  ...

I think I did select wrong way one year ago (I did shift from FF to Edge to use less third party app on Win and use more native OS apps). They are showing me I had BIG wrong decision!

Edge has been a CPU usage monster since version 93, I sent feedback more than 5 times and watching every new update change log and they say "fixed some performance issue"!. If I have just one new blank tab (not New Tab) open for about 2-5 minutes the CPU usage goes above 30% till I exit the Edge (no malware no extension, on fresh Win install).

I have seen "identity_helper.exe" in "Task manager" and as I realized it is about PWA installation on Windows with Edge. I never use those apps and want to disable it but Microsoft has removed its "Flag" on Edge 96.

Do you know what these services do:
Microsoft Edge Update Service (edgeupdate)
Microsoft Edge Update Service (edgeupdatem)

I have set my network as metered, edge auto update is manual, why there is two Edge update services active?!

Temporary solution to enable "tab_hover_card" flag:
First go to "edge://flags/#Temporarily" and enable "Temporarily unexpire M95 flags", restart edge and go to "edge://flags/#tab-hover" and disable tab hover cards.

I use only one extension--AdGuard. Edge is blazingly fast for me in Windows 11. It's faster than in 10. I have no need for any other browser.

I've got a couple of the usual extensions for safe browsing but use Edge's own myriad (sometimes I think too much) of settings to mould it to how I like. For example a pinned tab for Gmail as it shows the email address in the tab :zany: . I also now use grouped tabs so don't really need the quick links in the Home page. Notifications disabled in the home page and Google search in the address bar with Bing search on the page.
