Over the last week or so I am getting drop down menus on every entry box on webpages when I point to it with my cursor. A long list of what appears to be coded answers to questions I never asked! Each box I visit does the same thing. It is very confusing and annoying. I have uninstalled Edge and then reinstalled it from the Store. The browser came back but with the same fault..

Entries in the boxes is still possible but this behaviou is making it very difficult to see what I am doing and be sure I am getting it right,

Going by your forum profile I se you use Edge. I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean by "entry box". Do you mean link? Or are you referring to an actual text box that gives text prediction as you type. If it is the latter, go to edge settings>languages>under writing assistance, disable the first 2 options

Looks like a website error to me.

Can you go to a different website and the same thing happens?

Yes, several as it started about a week ago. The example for which I posted the screenshot was the box for choosing how many I wanted to order. I have tried it on another webshop where the order quantity box gives the same drop down menu. I also see that the product search box does the same.

I will try the other suggestions as soon as I can find time. Sorry, but I have so much to do and can only work slowly.

I used the instructions to disable the Show Autofill Predictions flag and after restarting this morning the problem has gone. How and why that got there I have no idea, but the solution has worked on two of the websites where the fault evidenced itself.

I will keep an eye on it the rest of the day before marking as Solved.

I look ed there and all options are off as I always prefer them to be
