Microsoft is developing a new animated footer utility for PowerToys, featuring pixel art animations like virtual meadows and mechs.
This concept aligns with Microsoft’s vision of creating a more personal and “quiet” Windows operating system experience through subtle visual enhancements.
PowerToys lead Clint Rutkas demonstrated the early-stage concept at a Windows Insiders meetup, with eventual release expected despite being conceptual rather than prototype stage.
A new PowerToys concept would bring animated scenes to your Windows footer, and it hints at a bigger Microsoft personalization push.

I think I see where this is going.....
When the grass gets so high you can't see the screen anymore you'll have to buy a "digital grass mower" from the MS store.
