"Windows OEMs have been pushing for leaner builds that can run efficiently on systems with 8GB of RAM"
That's funny. I know NOTHING about coding, but I know for fact windows 11 could run efficiently on 4GB of ram or even less if every feature was Opt-in/out instead of MS just shoving everything down our throats..

None. Manully configured so nobody except me can change any critical system files. (Don't ask how, it's probably against some rule somewhere)
@DJNelson,

With regret I really didn't understand reply and context

My machine at startup: This particular build also works on machines that only have 4gb of DDR4 ram and a Celeron CPU. It's nothing more than features unnecessary for typical home use removed before Windows is installed. And it works because it's stable. It doesn't need to update to keep working. But you can't get it directly from Microsoft.

Microsoft has been getting a little too aggressive with copilot in absolutely everything, it's a pain to uninstall with each new update...

I joined this forum to learn how to put an end to that on machines that can't handle the rapidly expanding bloat that comes with each update. Mission accomplished, as far as that goes, as most of what you need to know can be found in the tutorials, and they lead to other sources of information..
