Only thing is...,
seems to look condensed on a small laptop screen...

... as opposed to a Desktop screen...

The top screen is the new look feature and is truly awful, especially on a laptop. Who in their right mind thinks the 1st screen looks better than the second screen other than only our favourite kindergarten developers who cannot count past 6!

You can turn off the new look.

The top view is the new "default" look which is awful - kindergarten design again.
This can be toggled to look like the desktop view.
I cannot see the icon that allows ypu to switch.

The 'What's New' icon is non-functional for me..., probably because I'm on the Office Insider Program already.

All these might well be worth it even if they only last 1 or 2 years -- the main thing to be aware of is if these have to be activated by "KMS activators" or similar then they are pirate copies.

Well Microsoft determines if it's a valid key before it's attached to your MS account.

When I had the dual licenses issue, I couldn't enable Dark Gray mode, couldn't un-pin the cruft on the top left corner..., plus a couple other little issues...
