Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2021: Lifetime License for $49

That sucks, sorry it didn't help.
All good, my friend! Thanks!
I'm not gonna sweat over it any longer, cuz I'm just too damn tired!
Everything works okay..., I just wanted it to look and function consistently..., and the dual license thing weirds me out!

I just hope that if the H&S was some kind of trial your copies of Word, Excel, etc. don't just bork when that expires and the other license kicks in properly.

@Edwin How in the world did you get to a live human to work on this. I've poked around in every support page and waited for chat for over an hour. They never did come on line and my place in line never moved down from 20.
It was pretty cool, actually!
I started a Chat, and due to the nature of my issue they suggested a 'call back'...,
... phone rang about 2½ minutes later!
The support person was awesome..., she really knew her stuff..., had me tryin all kinds of weird sh, stuff! :D

If it's just you, you can do the $69 copy of Office 365, and use it on all of your computers.....you don't need the $99 family version. You can install Office 365 on an unlimited number of devices.
MS still has a 10-device limit per account. I had to remove devices from my MS account so my wife could update her laptop from Windows S to Windows Home.

I think I figured it out......
Well..., here's the way I see it:
One license, one device, install ONCE. Once is the key word!
Even after going through all the aforementioned bull of fully uninstalling, deleting this and that, doing a clean offline install...,
it doesn't matter, MS still records your device ID, so..., if you install it on one machine then change your mind, you're basically screwed!
And, my laptop registry shows all kinds of indication that the install from Home & Student to Pro Plus was treated as an upgrade!

Here is a total scam that they don't even try to hide. There is no difference between Windows 10 and Windows 11 product keys!

Oh well, it seemed like a good idea at the time and all that, my daughter is happy as she has a copy on her laptop and I can reduce my subscription to a single which saves me 20 quid

Nah. It's not install once. One device (machine) yes. Microsoft has always been really good when it comes to issues with keys. They have a record of blacklisted keys. If these sites like Stacksocial which are reasonably known were selling unique keys, MS would be on their ass really quick.

On the official Microsoft 365 Family subscription, it says Family in the name of the subscription but the description only mentions '... share with others'.

Is there anyone here who has shared their subscription with non-family others? Any security/privacy concerns? Also any thoughts about when the time comes for you to terminate the subscription, but the people you once invited to share, may not agree?

You can share it with anyone, Microsoft doesn't know your individual family members....it's just a term they use. Each share gets their own one drive space which no other member can see or access. The subscription lies with you not the other members and if you cancel the they lose it too, if they object then that's a personal matter for you. They could always buy their own sub

This is correct. Person does not even have to be in same country or even continent. Not sure it is possible to share with the Space Station though.
