Nope, the office 365 offer for $69 is for 1 user account. You can install the software on an unlimited number of devices. This user can only use one device at any one time.

Same with the $99 offer, each of the 6 users can install Office an an unlimited number of devices. Each user can only use one device at any one time.

If you are talking about the $49 stand alone license copy that is being discussed in this thread, then yes...that is only for 1 computer/device.

Yep, I just proved myself wrong! I had no idea. So, I could save an additional $30.00 per year! And it looks like they may have changed unliimited to five devices, but what the hey . . .

It looks like there's a conflict, though, on the cloud storage. Maybe it means per computer?

No, with Office 365 for the single user ($69), you get a single 1TB of cloud storage space as you are using the same Microsoft account to access it. Thus, if you had Office installed on a desktop, and a laptop, you would see the exact same One Drive contents on both of the machines.

With the family plan, for $99, you get up to 6 accounts. So, for me, my account is used on my desktop and laptop, and I see my unique 1TB of space. My wife has Office 365 on her laptop and desktop and she sees her own unique 1TB of space. My dad has Office 365 on whatever and he sees his own unique 1TB of spce.

So, the $99 plan effectively gets you 6TB of space, with each account getting access to 1TB of it.

Edit: But I might be mistaken according to your bullet points. The $69 version might be limited to 5 devices total. I'm pretty darn sure the $99 is unlimited. They changed back in 2018 from # of devices, to each person. They may just have some incorrect bullet points too flying around. I'm pretty sure it's unlimited.

Oh wait, I think it means that I can use multiple copies of my office suite on my devices now at the same time. Previously, I was limited to only being able to use one of my installs at any given time. So, if I had it installed on my Windows desktop and my Macbook, I couldn't be using Word on both machines simultaneously. Seems I can now use it on 5 devices at a time. The same bullet point is showing on the Microsoft 365 Family tab too.

I believe you can install it on 10,000 devices if you wish, you can just not use 10,000 simultaneously.

When I attempt to 'Change License' it says I have multiple licenses associated with this account..., not true except for a 365 sub that expired in 2017. How do you DELETE a subscription?

Veering a little off the path of these posts about 365 brings up a question for me and I'm going to sound like a total newbie here (I guess I am when it comes to 365 since I've never used it). My internet connection is horrible so I barely make a dent in the 40 gb free Onedrive storage I have since I use it for nothing but file sharing occassionally. With my connection being so sketchy, I've had more trouble with Onedrive than it was worth. As a home user, how do you utilize 1 tb of free Onedrive storage for it to be an issue one way or the other? I mean why in the world would a family ever need a total of 6 tb? Do you utilize a family plan strictly for a family member to use Office itself rather than having access to the storage?
