Microsoft Sculpt Mobile Mouse 1569 wheel scrolls a page instead of 3 lines

As the title says, my Microsoft Sculpt Mobile Mouse 1569 (Bluetooth connected) has started scrolling a full page instead of the 3 lines as it is set to scroll when I roll the wheel.
I reinstalled the Intel Wireless Bluetooth driver, replaced the battery.

In Settings, under Bluetooth, Mouse, Scrolling, "Multiple lines at a time" is selected and "adjust the number of lines" is set to 3.
Scroll inactive Windows is Off.

Moved the dongle to a different USB port.
A regular USB connected mouse works correctly.

I'm out of ideas as this mouse has been working fine for over a year.

Hello @Ztruker ...long time. :-)


I just have a basic no frills mouse.
When I "click" the mouse wheel, it changes to super scroll mode, where just dragging the mouse... scrolls.
Then I click it again to switch back to normal scroll.
Could it be something like that?

@Ghot, Hi, has been a long time.

No, when I click the wheel it goes into drag mode, where I can drag the mouse pointer and the window will move up and down smoothly, as slow or fast as I like. That does make it useable again though, thanks.

I never had a mouse that needed a driver (except in the i386 days). :(

Me either, but this fixed it so I'm not complaining.

This has to have something to do with an update.
