Microsoft Store updates odd since CU KB5058411

Since the CU KB5058411 MS Store checking/updating for app updates is acting strange.

Found updates will either go to checking compatibility or Qued and then hang. Update this morning I started at 5:38AM DST and update finished finally at 7:39AM. Both updated successfully.
Looking at the Event Manager I am seeing this log under applications every time something updates from the 'Store'.

The description for Event ID 2562 from source Microsoft-Windows-AppXDeploymentServer/Operational cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

I have tried resetting the 'Store', Restarting the PC several times, the log is still generated. Event ID 2562
I tried googling this and it seems to point to Azure AD. I'm using Win11 Home, Azure AD is not part of Home version.

I'm also getting this for every MS Store app that downloads an update. Happens for every single one, every single time. As far as I can tell, the apps download and install correctly.

Any ideas what this could be?

An example below - always under "applications" in event viewer:

Yes I did the latest preview, made no difference. To me this message is not worth reinstalling windows at the moment.

Hi. Yes, I've been having some issues with MS Store with app updates either queued or Checking Dependencies. The workaround I found was to sign out of either the MS or Local Accounts and sign back in. After that when Checking for MS Store app updates it goes straight to Downloading and installs.

I found this from Brirnk on clearing the store cache. The set where you delete the SID is making me nervous so asked Brink, waiting on reply.

Hi, I found this from Brink: Reset and Clear Microsoft Store Cache in Windows 11

I'm working my way through. I was just advised my Brink that it is safe to delete the SID.

EDIT: I just did the procedure, check store for updates found 2. They updated just find but.... the error event ID 2562 still kicks out in Event Viewer.

I'm getting the same apps showing updates available daily, and appear to download and install fine lol, then next day same thing. I tried all the fixes i know of, and still occuring a little bit lol, though not all 7 apps like it was before---Not just 3 or 4 each morning.

My thinking is that this is a MS store corruption issue only fixable from MS side. Probably need to wait for a Win update to fix it.

I can’t get access to any of the MS Store app folders (because they’re encrypted - Win 11 Home edition).

At any rate, it doesn’t affect my Win install so probably just cosmetic.

Hi @TheVisitor - thought I’d give you a quick update. Having failed at remedying the situation, I decided to do a complete, clean Windows reinstall using MS’s Media Creation Tool.

I reformatted my C Drive, wiped everything and did a fresh install. Initially, the problem appeared to go away and the event ID 2562 was not showing in event viewer after each MS store app update.

However, as this was a new install, Windows update began the process of downloading and installing many different updates at the same time. After this finished, the event has started to appear again. Annoyingly, I couldn’t even isolate the specific update as several installed simultaneously.

Suffice it to say, I think I can confirm that this is not a problem the end user can fix and clearly MS has broken something store related on their end. I would also guess that a lot of people also have this error without knowing about it, since it doesn’t appear to affect usability in anyway.

We’ll have to wait for MS to fix it.

Well Mine somehow solved with my clean install

But i didn't use Media Creation tool

I downloaded Rufus, setup my ISO with that as i prefer a Local account first, then add my MS Account later in the install procedure

Then once i have the accounts all set, then i do all the updates, and then install rest of the software, and any other updates

So far my Windows store is working exactly normal

Anyways
Do hope you get your issues solved fully at some point as well
