Microsoft webmail again

First it sent it's own email to the junk folder, and now this (when logging into outlook.com online email account).

Hi, Hazel.

Give it another go in an hour or so. Server/certificate issue most likely? Or how Firefox is validating Microsoft's security certificates.
But normaly if the certificate was the case, it more commonly states "SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN"

How long has that message appeared for?

1. Clear your browser data (cookies, cache, site data)
2. Restart Firefox
3. Try accessing mail.live.com again

There are more complicated things you could try, but I like easy

Also, like I said, it may just fix itself or someone “out there” :look:

What does it say if you click on “Advanced”?

Check the date on your computer.
The site mail.live.com is just forwarding to the Outlook 365 site. Try going to hotmail.com and see if that works better.

Hazel, as apposed to using the link mail.live.com, maybe change it to outlook.live.com
Basically you’re still going to end up in the same place and if you’re already logged in, it should take you directly to your mail page. Otherwise, it will take you to the login page.
Hotmail, Windows Live Mail, Outlook; All roads lead to outlook.live.com

I just clicked on my bookmarked link which is what I always do - which is outlook.com (It actually says login.live.com). I opened it fine on my phone however. Didn't click on advanced unfortunately. Just tried again and the warning came up straight away even before asking me to login this time.

First time, I had actually logged in with username and I think it came up when I went to the next stage to add password.

Ok cleared cookies. Tried again - got right through login = username screen, password entered and it's after that it comes up.

Edit - clock is fine

It could be cache on your end, it could be a server issue on their end, but I am not getting any errors.

No it was firefox on computer. Tried on my phone (Safari) and it was fine.

Firefox on my iPad is having a hell of a time trying to connect. But eventually it got through. I am not sure, Hazel.

Firefox on PC doesn't seem to have a problem for me. I tried all addresses leading to mail.

You could try disabling HTTPS Only Mode but it wouldn't explain why all of a sudden you're getting the bad cert warning, I am not.

Click the menu button

and select Settings.
Select Privacy & Security from the left menu.
Scroll down to HTTPS-Only Mode.
Use the radio button to select whether to enable or disable HTTPS-Only Mode

But note: While it's generally not recommended to disable HTTPS-Only Mode, it can be done temporarily if a website requires it for proper functionality. Disabling it permanently exposes you to security risks, as your connection to websites would no longer be encrypted, making your browsing data vulnerable to interception

It's fine if you don't want to do this.
Did you try Edge or Chrome on the PC?

Clear all cookies, site data and cache

Click the menu button

and select Settings.
Select the Privacy & Security panel and go to the Cookies and Site Data section.
Click the Clear Data… button. The Clear browsing data and cookies dialog will appear.

Select the time frame you think is relevant

Quite common with site certificates. As I mentioned in the beginning, just give it a short while and it should correct itself. It’s generally a server side issue.
