Hi there
These things are brilliant -- cheap too -- and also can power a laptop @75W without any problems plus other devices (depending on the model you get).
What I like about these is that then you can handle the whole kybosh with just one mains charger -- just connect one of the charging ports to the mains charger and the main USB C connector to a USB charging port on your laptop. Plus these devices often come with a LAN connector (up to 1 Gbps) several USB 3 type ports , a couple of USB 2 ports -good for mice / keyborads - wireless type even better, and up tp 2X 4K UHD HDMI video out for multiple screens. They often have SD card readers plus even slots for old things like the old IBM microdisk !!
Just one warning - if you've got every port connected including 2 external monitors the thing can get warm so allow plenty of space around the device.
The charging ports (usually X 2) work fine for loads of HP laptops and Apple macbooks. I can't see why they won't work for many other laptops too. No problem also concurrently charging phones.
I wish I'd seen these earlier - saves a huge amount of nasty cables all over the place. !!
Cheers
