Monitor Upgrade?


Well i meant this one if i went 1440P (not sure im gonna do that, as kinda worried the games wouldn't run well at that Resolution--keep in mind i'm a noob with hardware still a bit lol)

1440P if i went with that



Second choice is if i stay with 1080P, and just up the Hz rating


(Price was $179.99 last night, now 189 price went up $10.00, but think i can still swing it just fine)

I have this exact same monitor. Absolutely amazing picture. I can actually run Battlefield 2 at 2K, 2560x1440. Makes it look like a modern game, lol.

Get it, you won't regret it.

Arriving Saturday, Then gonna hook up via DisplayPort for first time, and adjust Refresh rate in Windows, and then try Game, and hopefully it runs good

Not sure if i'll use 165hz Refresh rate right away or not, i suppose i could try it at that, and if experience lag or problems in my games, drop it down to 144hz, and see then how it performs.

((major worrier) and sometimes uneasy with new things or worry alot if Card/PC itself will fully support it lol

Well i can't afford the Gsync Models, but is ok, if i someday decide to upgrade Desktop Platform to All AMD Build, then i will have an AMD GPU for first time in about 7 years.

Meanwhile just will be happy with Monitor i got, and hopefully it works well with all my games, and i'm all set for now

Monitor Arrived!, didn't see the Display port cable at first, thought well this is strange thought was included, so then i was like well i got HDMI right here, so i guess i'll hook that up and get one later

Well then i found Displayport Cable

Should i shutdown in morning and hook that cable up? or stick with HDMI for now?

FreeSync monitors work perfectly fine on Nvidia GPU's.
Despite the names both G-Sync & FreeSync are variable rate refresh technologies, one proprietary and one open source. I myself use a Gigabyte 1440p FreeSync Premium monitor with an Nvidia RTX3080 and have no issues using the pair with G-Sync compatible mode in both games and desktop apps.

Ahh yea, since 2019 all GeForce 10 or higher GPUs with updated drivers can support FreeSync monitors, albeit only through DisplayPort.
