Windows 11 Home
hello

Even in safe mode.
Only a restore to an earlier date brought the cursor back...
I wonder if it was a virus/malware or not...
Win 11 Home x64 PC desktop.

Yet I have WHHLight and Fort Firewall pretty well configured...
How can I be sure that all is well?

I have some data that I'm backing up, but I don't want to lose anything.
I had to do everything with the keyboard, I'm authenticated with a Microsoft account and I log in with a password...
I use Office 365.

Thanks a lot!

It sounds more like a corrupt system file or driver. Malware is typically more interested in making money or stealing info than messing with your mouse cursor. Plus it's quite a bit harder for malware to run in safe mode.
