mouse pointer keeps changing

My mouse pointer keeps changing, even after I disabled all the settings backup, stopped themes from changing it, and even tried the other default cursors and sometimes it even changed less than 2 minutes later. What can I do?

Changing from what to what? And when (on the desktop, in your browser, in File Explorer, etc)?

Try running DISM commands first

You can run the scannow & restorhealth commands from any console, including the command prompt, PowerShell, or Windows Terminal. Open one of these as Admin and type or past that command and press enter, then wait for it to finish.
Then, run restorehealth


Open search on your PC, type CMD. Open CMD as admin. Type (or copy and paste) the following command”
Press enter and be patient.

When completed, type (or copy and paste) the following command:
Press enter and be patient.

What mouse are you using?

Do you use any personalisation tweaks, Windows tweaks etc?

Installed the Posy's cursors then used the mouse properties, pointers, and changed the scheme. But this doesn't happen only with these cursors. By changing it in the "Mouse pointer and touch" in the accessibility settings, a short time after that, less than an hour, it still reverts to the default Windows cursor, even sometimes displaying "(none)" on the old mouse properties scheme.

I don't think I use Windows tweaks. Can you give me an example, as I'm not sure what they are?

I completed DISM successfully just now. Will change the mouse cursor and see how long until it changes back to the default.

thing like Winareo Tweaker App or Registry changes that manipulate how WIndows behaves. You would most likely know if you did use any, LeLelo

This hasn’t been updated since mid 2022. I would suggest that perhaps there have been changes to Windows through updates that haven’t been reflected in Posy’s Cursors?
If there is a way to contact them, I would consider doing so, LeLelo.
