Move MS Flight Simulator 2020 to a new Windows 11 installation

I'm upgrading my desktop PC with a new motherboard & CPU and will be doing a clean install of Windows 11. I have MS Flight Simulator 2020 installed on a SATA SSD drive which will be connected as it to the new setup with all MSFS 2020 files intact. How do I get MSFS up and running again with all my settings and past flight history? Do I have to install it again from the CD and update it or is there a quicker way? How do I ensure my user settings are preserved?

The issue is I have the DVD version of MSFS2020 so I can't install from my MS account although I assume I could add the license key to my Steam account.
