OS
Windows 11 pro
I have a desktop running Win 1125H2 26200.8117 on a motherboard Asus Z790-v.
I noticed unlike this Asus that the MS Surface updates all including firmware automatically instead of this Asus having me do all the work with a cap file.
In order to clean install Windows 11, I have to disable the VMD controller in the BIOS to do so.
If I buy the Surface can I install Win ll without any BIOS changes?
I will need a dock or hub and am asking for a reference?
Also, I am interested in portability.
Are there any caveats or recommendations before I make the purchase?
TY

@Maranna

I'd stick with a desktop.
If you want a Surface, get one... but don't lose the desktop.

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
You read my wife's mind. Good food for thought.
