I now have my games pc up and running and all other stuff is on my laptop (as well as family users). However when I set up the pc, I forgot to create my own account and I set my stuff up on the default idiot (me). Is there a way to transfer my default desktop to my account without having to start again???

Did you set up laptop with a local accout or a MS account? Using a MS account would mean that the default location of your user folders is Onedrive associated with that user? If a MS account are you saying it's a different one from your other machines?

The laptop is not in question. Its on my pc (gamer) that I am wondering., however I did use MS to log into the laptop (nearly new) but the pc, when set it up for game, from a virgin windows. Admin account was used to set up and download all the games I wanted on the second 4TB drive with the icons on desktop in folder. It was about a couple of hours ago when I realised I had forgotten to set up a user account (only me on the pc) and then I decided that the experts here might know how to move my desktop, and links onto a user account so I didnt have to use admin account. With pin number

Shortcuts on one desktop can be copied onto a flash drive. Logout and then login on other user. Copy and paste shortcuts from flash drive into that account.
You can then delete or not the shortcuts in the original account

You could also Viewed Hidden files and then Copied the shortcuts from the desktop and Pasted them into the previously hidden folder C:\Users\Public\Public Desktop folder. This would put those shortcuts in a folder for All Users.
