MS 365 perpetual license no longer valid suddenly???


A long time ago I subscribed to TechNet for testing MS applications.
They had perpetual keys available for many Apps. & OSs.
Office Pro Plus 2013 was 1 of them & was the last Office version before TechNet shut down
I never tried those key on newer Office apps, I have just been buying newer keys.
This thread makes me think maybe I should of.
The Windows keys worked on newer Windows versions though.

I received an email back from Microsoft Support. Their response is what I did not really expect, but it is not the first time Microsoft Support suggested this "workaround".

When I was a so-called Beta Tester with direct contacts to the Microsoft Developers at one time, I never had to pay for licenses between Windows 95 up to Windows Vista time frame. Microsoft always provided volume licenses to me back then. Those days were great for me because my contacts back then provided lots of inside technical information. Even today I do not need to pay for licenses for anything, so far. Yes, I am getting old and nearing retirement.

I'm an old TechNet subscriber, and the last time I checked, TechNet keys still worked.
