I have four MS emails and all of a sudden for the last two days I get "too many requests"when I try to log in. I have cleared my cach and even made a new ms email that only worked three times. Now it says too many requests. I have tried all things that ms says but I am in a circle as everything I try says "too many requests".
Can anyone help me get my emails back or do I need to go to a different email carrier? Thanks for any replies.

Someone complaining about it the other day. Perhaps currently they’re having server issues.

Per the thread @antpants posted, it looks and MS problem. People are able to login by using a different WI-Fi connection, cell connection, etc. I'd guess that MS has set some ridiculously low connection limit per IP address.

Either a software issue, a typing error, or some misguided attempt to stop spammers. Regardless, it's their problem and not yours. You can prove it out by heading to the local Dunkin' Donuts and using their WiFi or a Cell connection if you have a hotspot.

Now that I have the right email I'll try again.

I just made a yahoo account and when I tried to login it said "too many requests try again tomorrow".

I just went to my son's house and I can access email from his computer. I think I am going to reset my dns and whatever else they say to do.

If your ISP makes it possible to reset your router and get a new IP address for the router, that would be a good choice. Not all of them make it easy. You'll need to do some googling. You can try calling your ISP's support, but they are usually clueless about IP addresses. Make it a last resort.

It's remotely possible that someone is falsifying your IP address and using it to attack the MS email servers. If that's true, then the only solution is changing your IP.

I know someone who has an MS address and he has actually gotten some marginally good support from them. However, I doubt that the phone support has access to the server logs or anything similar. They won't be able to tell you specifically why the address is blocked. OTOH, if could just be an MS screwup since others are reporting it. It's also only 50/50 whether MS support would know of an on-going, even major, problem.

I have now been able to access my MS emails. I think it was my cable provider. They have just gone to all wifi in the home. No more running cables for extra sets. I unplugged the router and left it off for about 5 minutes. After plugging it back in I was able to access all of my ms emails. They just switched me over about a month ago so I think the router was the problem. If I start having problems again I will contact them for a new router.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my post.
