They must because my windows and all my apps are updated. I had 2 app updates yesterday.
Make sure you have store apps set to auto-update. In the Microsoft Store app, select Profile (your account photo) > Store Settings. Make sure App updates is turned On.

Otherwise, manually update them on the screen you posted.

They do... but can't control the user or the users actions, the users system setup & hardware... Also, the app makers are sometimes stupid in the head...

As far as I know not all Microsoft Store apps update automatically. Once a week I open Microsoft Store and manually check for updates. Not that bad. Also if you want to automatically check for updates in most of your applications you can either use the winget command directly, or use UniGetUI which does that automatically and using the mouse rather than typing commands.

It also has the option to ignore specific applications if you rather update them manually.

flhthemi did you actually click "Check for updates" to see if it corrects itself, maybe do that??????????

"Invisible apps" might indicate corrupt apps that the Store cannot identify properly. Manually trying to update them it might fix the issue as @antspants suggested.

I think you will find those 2 empty icons are for:
WinAppRuntime.Singleton
WinAppRuntime.Main.1.8

Could be MS Store update and/or Windows version update blocked, you seem to be on 23H2.

Just elements of Windows, who cares about an icon, if you want to know look in Installed Apps.

UWP Framework dependencies (or run-time libraries) are not downloadable from the Store app.

Instead Windows Update or DesktopAppInstaller will fetch newer versions of these packages if any updated Store App has them listed in its AppxManifest.xml. You can't use the Store App to download these packages since there isn't a ProductID assigned to them.

But winget doesn't have a problem installing or updating them by package name.

This PC is on 23h2 and so are my others with exception of 1 brand new mini PC. I had just run a manual check for updates and several other apps updated and THEN I took the screen shot, it's a privacy thing. I have ALL my PCs paused for MS store updates because I want to know what does get updated. Funny thing is one of my PCs has the option to pause updates grayed out and I can't change it. Dunno how that happened either.

Oh and I run on 23h2 because networking still works properly. My brand new mini doesn't show itself in the network explorer so I had to create a shortcut and pin it to quick access. If I wasn't so set in my ways I'd switch to some breed of Linux.
