My computer always lags and gets stuck on video games, help!

My computer is always getting stuck, lagging on fps games, i don't even put graphics on high or anything because of this issue but it still lags, the games don't crash though.
I thought we bought a pretty good computer for basic needs and a little bit of gaming so i'm not sure why we have this issue, I have tried checking the drivers and there is nothing that needs to be updated, we don't even use the computer that much because of this issue so it's not like it could have a virus or anything like that. All-in-one computers are not really made for gaming unless you count Solitaire

1) Download and install the latest version of the HP Support Assistant: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
Run the tool to check for any updates.

2) These are some trial and error steps:

a) Place the computer into clean boot:

b) Uninstall the preinstalled Trend Micro to see if it makes any difference > make sure Microsoft Defender is on

For most of modern video games, PC should have two hardware components: SSD for OS and game installation and modern video adapter, like GeForce RTX 3050 or later. If you play MMO, also need a broadband Internet connection, like 256 Kbps or higher.

If you only have the integrated Intel graphics, you're not going to get great gaming performance. The UHD 630 is not that good.

Generally yes, but it depends on genre. For FPS the normal speed may be 250 Mbps and low latency is mandatory, while for casual/social MMO 250 Kbps may be enough.

Depends on you're standards but mine are pretty high in that regard. Like dial up speeds xD

what if it works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt? why does it do that if its not supposed to work at all i guess. We play Valorant and it works just right after restarting the computer most of the time. The internet connection is fine for us too, we have pretty good internet for online gaming. Is there any solution at all or should we try to find another computer with NVIDIA gpu?

I would invest in an actual Gaming computer with a separate monitor if you want to game.
Remember when choosing the old saying "you get what you pay for" is important.

All games are different in how they will play with specific GPU's. The Intel graphics in your computer are pretty weak for high end gaming. AMD's integrated graphics are much better. If you really want to game with high end games, then yes a different computer with a good discrete video card would be better. It can be either AMD or Intel and AMD or Nvidia for the graphics. It depends on your budget as to how high end you want to go.

Half-Life 2 is one of the greatest games of all time and is not demanding at all. It will play on a toaster as gamers like to say.
