Whenever I am on battery power, the screen brightness immediately drops to zero as soon as the battery reaches 30%. I can set the brightness back to 100%, plug it in for a second, and unplug again, and it will immediately drop back to 0% brightness.
Power saver is not enabled
No third party brightness/power utilities
There's nothing in advanced power plan settings about dimming etc
I have tried using the command "powercfg /setdcvalueindex SCHEME_CURRENT SUB_ENERGYSAVER ESBRIGHTNESS 0" but makes no difference
Any ideas what may be causing this and how I can fix it?
Nevermind ... after this was bugging me for weeks I finally had a moment of realisation right after posting this that it was a BIOS setting called "power saver" that needed be disabled.
@djsubtronic: Thanks for sharing your fix. It's vital to let other people know when you find (and fix) your issues, because they can do the same thing, too should the need arise. Thanks again,
