A friend sent me these two batch scripts from Eleven Forum last week. So, a few questions I need to get straight in my head for a straightforward step process I can follow to maintain a healthy pc. The Tune-up plus log script, the Post_WU_Cleanup script is what I got, but not sure in which order they should be run. Since I have Win11 64 bit installed I also need a batch script to clean out all the junk/temp files etc. So probably showing my inexperience here but that’s okay right. I also run Google Chrome but don’t know if that would be included in any batch script to clean out all the browsing junk/temp files.

  • Need one batch script to completely clean out all the junk/temp files etc. weekly.
  • Do you run the post wu cleanup script after each monthly windows cumulative update?
  • Do you run the tune up plus script once a month or every week (assume this one does sfc, dism, restoring image etc) ?

  • Appreciate the help 😊

I urge you to ask your friend which tutorials those scripts came from.
The tutorials will probably answer your questions.

Welcome to ElevenForum.

It's really worth making time to browse through the ElevenForum Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every ElevenForum page [within the Tutorials dropdown list].
- At the foot of the ElevenForum Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
- I download a new copy each month.
- By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
- ElevenForum tutorials are also listed at Tutorials and there's a shortcut to that at the top of every page.

You can search ElevenForum using the search box in the top-right corner of all ElevenForum webpages or using Advanced Search - ElevenForum
- You can also search ElevenForum threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:elevenforum.com after your search term. For example,
Taskbar setup site:elevenforum.com
- [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of ElevenForum webpages does automatically]

For MSOffice problems search in and, if necessary, create threads in the TenForums MSOffice section [ElevenForum does not have one].

Post the batch script in a code block here. Probably written by a forum member.
