Solved Need some advice

The main reason I am replacing the F15 is because it keeps tripping my house breakers, I've had it for a week and 4 times multiple outlets and 2 different breakers. I'm watch the current draw and I never see more that 1.9 amps. My meter doesn't show spikes.
Since it's a laptop, most likely culprit is charger, it's primary side so I would try changing that or is it a ploy to convince wife you need a new laptop or PC.

Did this solve your problem with the breakers tripping? I hope it did. If it did, I still think the problem was with the power adapter and not the laptop.

It hasn't blown since using the Alienware. The only issue with the Alienware was right out of the box the AWCC would fail to run. I have the Asus F15 coming again it should be here Monday. I'm not sure which one I will keep.

look at the outlet, it maybe old/bad. the breaker could be bad too. You might need to get a meter, with a divider addon to check current draw. I have a 20ft sliding gate with motor that has no issues with a 15 amp.

What are requirements on the adapter, Watts and Amperes ? Since W=A*V and taking for granted it's 110v it would take over 1650W to trip a 15A breaker. That's power of a space heater !!

It doesn't seem to matter what outlet and what breaker; I have the breaker it is blowing now is a 20 amp breaker. Its a 240 watt PSU same as the alienware.

Something's really badly off, at full 240W its 2.2A it draws thru breaker. Are you sure you didn't get same laptop with same (bad) adapter back ?

You would need to have something like a space heater plugged in for the extra draw of the computer to trip a breaker due to overload. Given that you've tested with different circuits, that's seems highly unlikely.

Therefore, it makes more sense to me that you have a newer house (or a newish renovation) and your breakers are touchy AFCI breakers. In my experience, AC fans, like your range hood, bath exhaust fans, and standalone room fans, frequently cause nuisance trips with AFCI breakers. I've never had an issue with PC power supplies and AFCI breakers, but let's at least eliminate that as a possibility.

So, do you have AFCI breakers?

They are AFCI breakers, at least the 3 have tripped.

Yup, that's the new normal and it's crazy expensive for those AFCI breakers. The irony is that your newly wired house is much less likely to have an arc fault than an many older homes. Not that it can't happen. Even pros sometimes leave something loose that causes an arc.

It seems the Asus power adapter causes a waveform that your AFCI breakers see as a potential arc, so it trips. Putting a UPS between the Asus power adapter and the wall may help. Swapping out your AFCI breakers for a newer or different model may help, but that's an expensive proposition (especially if you're hiring an electrician to do the work). Certainly, swapping out your AFCI breakers for regular breakers will solve the problem, but I can't really advise doing that (potential implications in regards to safety, C of O, resale inspection, and so forth). I have swapped out my nuisance tripping AFCI breaker for a regular breaker on the range hood fan circuit, but I've not had a reason to swap them elsewhere.

Keep your receipt. There's no guarantee it will help. If the UPS worked by always powering the device via its battery, I would be more confident, but my understanding is that it's typically a pass-through until the power goes out. But I sure hope it solves the problem for you. Fingers crossed.
