Hi folks
This could be a good idea -- depends on the reduction in price and the frequency and length of adverts.
Judging by the number of companies beginning to roll out "Ad Free" subscriptions for things it probably shows that "Classical" advertising on the Internet has problems and there are better and far less obtrusive ways of presenting adverts.
Companies need to make money to provide goods and services so adverts usually let these products be sold more cheaply - but it has to be done properly.
For example I utterly loath websites that start playing loud music when you first login to the url. I bookmark those to be blocked whatever the product they are selling.
Just wondering would people choose the ad funded service or stick to the premium ad free service. I don't have any problem with the IMDBTV service that Amazon has taken over and now called something else -- ads seem reasonably spaced and not too long so don't bother me. (I think its now called FREEVEE)
Cheers
