New App: Right-Click Tools

It only matters what context you're in when you run the command.

So, if you use the option "PowerShell Here as TrustedInstaller" and then enter a Set-ItemProperty command to touch the date, that command will be running with TrustedInstaller access.

Similarly, if you double-click an exe, such as BulkFileChanger.exe, from within the Privileged file manager window, that exe will be running with the same access.
Thanks @garlin as I always learn something from you. Since this thread is about @LesFerch's Right-Click tool, it was more of a question of how to do some things. I am a real novice when it comes to PowerShell.

Hi Les, I've had problems with Custom Context Menu so got rid of it. I reinstalled rightclicktools but no joy. Must one have Custom Context Menu to get rightclicktools?

Hi Les, I've had problems with Custom Context Menu so got rid of it. I reinstalled rightclicktools but no joy. Must one have Custom Context Menu to get rightclicktools?

You can hold Shift when you right-click to get the classic context menu which will include Right-Click Tools.

But if you mean is there any way to get Right-click Tools in the new context menu without Custom Context Menu, the answer would be no.

I've researched how to create a menu handler that will directly add Right-Click Tools to the new context menu, but I kept hitting reliability issues that no one could answer. I would prefer to make a handler only for the new context menu and stick with the current registry-only method for the classic context menu, but there seems to be no way to do that. I'll take another look though. This is the first I've heard of issues with Custom Context Menu, but given the issues I saw when testing my own handler (which, under the hood, would have to use the same interfaces as Custom Context Menu) it doesn't entirely surprise me.

OK, gotcha. Yes, I get it when I just click "Show more options" too. Sorry, shouldn't have posted without a bit more digging.
