I would like to buy another set but hesitate to do so. I have 2 perfectly fine sets of ear buds that just do not show up when trying to connect. So many of you helped me and we slogged thru many attempts to connect them but no deal. If these don't work, why would I think a new pair would work. The current ones are only 2 years old. One pair I'm looking to buy is the same model that I can't get to connect. What does anyone think about this conundrum??? Thanks.

Have you any friends or family that use bluetooth buds?

They might let you use them and try and connect and hence know of a brand that works with your set-up.

If it were my system, I would make a drive image backup, then do an In-Place Upgrade (repair install) of Windows.

I saw your other thread (not sure why a new thread was necessary here), and you need to get imaging software to do the first step.

That's always a safety net...when everything is working, it gives you a known good point to go back to if all else fails.

Do them frequently, which means you need storage for multiple image backups.

Doing a repair install allows you to keep your apps and personal data.

I usually follow @Ed Tittel's advice, and give troubleshooting 30 to 40 minutes to get resolved (unless I have to wait for something else).

After that, doing an In-Place Upgrade takes around the same amount of time, which could very well fix the issue.

(not sure why a new thread was necessary here), The other thread was soooo long and I felt the need to break away and start new.

Many of these back up plans call for a cd to be made. I Do not have that capability. I did the MS backup and will keep my fingers crossed it all works.

No, it requires a usb flash drive used to create recovery media for whatever application one uses to create his images and an external drive to store the image on. Nobody usesd cds anymore since most devices these days don't even come equipped with an optical drive.

So what kind of an app.

Also, listen to this. I used my mouse cable(?) to connect to my earbud to charge. So the earbuds that worked before now do not. That is a conflict right? What do I do about that. All was working fine. Blech. Thanks.
