Solved New BT earbuds - help!!

My dog chewed on my old pair which were working fine - I am trying to pair a new set - am having trouble doing so. I uninstalled the Barott adapter from device manager and reinstalled. I removed and uninstalled the old earbuds. BUT, when I go to BT icon and say 'add device" the device name does not come up. I looked through my old posts regarding this and don't see a solution there. Anyone care to give a thought ... or two? Thanks so much.
