I'm building a new desktop for myself from scratch.
Motherboard, CPU, Memory, SSD, case and video card.

I know I need to ENABLE TPM 2.0 in BIOS of the Gigabyte Aorus B560M Pro motherboard.
I just made a bootable Windows 11 install USB from Microsoft.
I have a never installed Win10 OEM disk with code that I was planning to use on the Windows 11 install from USB.

Questions:
1. Do I need to install Windows 10 OEM disk first with Lic Code then later upgrade to Windows 11
OR
Can I install Windows 11 from USB and enter the Windows 10 OEM Lic Code when asked during the Windows 11 install?

What do you suggest or think is the best way for me to install Win11on the new box?

Thank you

You do not need to install Windows 10 first. Just boot the computer from the Windows 11 USB and do a clean install.

Looks like you have a nice build planned. I would suggest getting a 2 TB SSD for backups, storage, etc. You'd be surprised how fast you can fill up a 1TB drive.

When performing a clean install of Windows 11 the OS can be installed in a supported or unsupported computer environment.

The advantages of the supported computer environment are related to performance and security.

If Windows 11 is clean installed in an unsupported computer environment (CPU not on the supported list, TPM 1.2 or no TPM, BIOS legacy or UEFI with CSM, Drive partition MBR, etc. it may have problems updating Windows or Microsoft defender. In other EF threads members have clean installed Windows 11 on very old hardware and have had automatic windows and Microsoft defender updates without problems.

So clean install Windows 11 and modify the configuration as needed to fully benefit from the improvements in performance and security.

If you want the option to test drive windows 11 and return to windows 10 you can clean install windows 10 and make a free backup image.

Then you can go back and forth as you wish.
