New keyboard

A typical keyboard is in the order of 10€ here in Greece. I would not pay more unless it is a really special keyboard.

My one keyboard has most of the key legends worn off, but since I don't look at them anyway when I'm typing, it's not a problem. I recently swapped in a spare until I got around to taking that one apart to revive it. At some point, it'll be back in service.

I learned on a mechanical typewriter as well, I still have my 50 WPM pin that was awarded in HS. Out of 22 students in my class, there were three that achieved that level, a couple more at 40 WPM, and a bunch at 30 WPM. I have to say, I recently tried typing on a mechanical typewriter, I have no idea how I ever typed that fast one one of those! Clearly, my fingers were much stronger when I was sixteen! :lmao:

It's the same with piano. Once you switch from classic to electric or synthesizer you get used to the softer keys. If you then go to play a classic piano again the mechanical keys seem too hard and you wonder how you could play it before.
