Learning New Outlook in 365; When I open a new message window it always goes to a partial screen rather than full. Main screen opens just fine and I can see all I want. Must be a view setting for this window somewhere. Should be a simple thing. Windows 11 up to date.

You also stated 365 which has nothing to do with the new Outlook but comes wit Outlook Classic.
Since you know better, good luck in finding your answer.

as I already had Classic on board plus outlook-web I assumed that the outlook marked NEW came with my brand new install of 365. Sorry; me bad; but you might ease up on the bluntness!!!

If you select new email, maximize it, then close it, does it not remember the window state when you try to create another email?
If not, the only workaround I can think of is to drag the new email window to the size you want.

Thanks for that, but no!! Resized as you suggested and also right-clicked on the new window and tried to resize there. Does the job but won't hold it. Will go into classic and have a look.
OK; classic just does it like in auto-mode or something.

Ok; thanks to all for the input; I might as well just go back to classic for now. It works.

OOOPS. Can't go back to classic as it is missing my primary account. So, I will just have to suck all this up.

Why not though, I can go back & forth or even run the two versions together at the same time.
(why one would do that, I don't know, maybe to compare features & behaviors))

The classic issue with the missing primary account goes way back; posts are in there. I had a lot of good people working at that at the time. No results. So for a temp solution I went to Mailbird as I knew it worked well with the three accounts. So, on installing 365 the new mail ( doesn't actually say that ) came online and shortly thereafter I suddenly got my primary account back. BUT, not on classic. Lot of strange things going on lately. The not opening full screen when starting a new email; I just don't understand. Might, as a last resort, call up microsoft and see what they say. They seem quite happy to help now that I have spent some money.
