I simply do not use it and ignore it.
Of course, Revo or BCU could be your next best friends.

There is no problem - Right click > Uninstall.

What method are you using? More importantly:
What Outlook (New) are you referring to?
Are you referring to the native Windows Outlook (New) App
Are you referring to Outlook (New) as a part of M365?

If you’re referring to the native Windows Outlook (New) App— I uninstalled the native Outlook (New) App forever ago and have never seen it since
- The only time I am aware of that you might have it come back is if you try running the older Windows Mail App, which should also be uninstalled, or Outlook (New) will just reappear to replace it.

If you’re referring to the Outlook (New) as a part of M365?
- No, there is no confirmed way anyone knows of (that I am aware of) to prevent what is coming or what has already happened for some people.
- Even if there was, eventually the only version that will be able to be downloaded/installed from Microsoft will be the Outlook (New) version, Outlook classic will not be available within that installation to revert back/toggle back to — As far as I am aware.

I am referring to M365 New Outlook.
Today I clean installed Windows 11 on a new SSD on a pc that I don't use every day it is a test pc, the ISO (from Microsoft website) came with New Outlook but no Outlook Classic. As I prefer the Outlook Classic I had to download it from the store ( as I have M365 Personal but don't want to install all M365 apps on this pc) and once installed I then set default by file types to Outlook Classic, that set the default email client to Outlook Classic.
I know I will have to change to New Outlook in the future (2029 I have heard) but in the mean time I'm quite happy to keep using Outlook Classic.

You could try this, run all commands in the same session concurrently.

Uninstall for All Users (via PowerShell)

To remove the New Outlook app system-wide:

Open Windows Terminal PowerShell (Admin)

Run: Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Where-Object {$_.Name -Like '*OutlookForWindows*'} | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers -ErrorAction

Prevent Reinstalls [DO THIS FIRST!]

Some systems auto-reinstall Outlook due to bundled Mail & Calendar dependencies. To block this:

Remove Mail and Calendar:

Run: Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Where-Object {$_.Name -Like '*windowscommunicationsapps*'} | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers -ErrorAction

Delete Registry Entry: Navigate to this key and delete it (or disable it via script)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\Orchestrator\UScheduler_Oobe\OutlookUpdate

Disclaimer: Wouldn't hurt to have a system backup before starting. Also, I've not tried this so I cannot verify it works.

EDIT: It is recommended to complete the Prevent Reinstalls part first.

I believe the member is trying to prevent (New) Outlook from replacing Outlook “Classic” in Microsoft 365.
To make it harder, I believe Microsoft has now removed Outlook “Classic” from the M365 install. Which would make toggling back to Classic, impossible.

My advice now to others I have helped, is to resort to using Office 2021.
Get a key from Stack Social.

I did a clean reinstall of Windows 11 and all my software including the Microsoft 365 apps a couple of weeks back. There used to be a toggle to switch between New and Classic Outlook, it has been removed by Microsoft.

I've used the New Outlook from when it was first released, it took a little while to get used to it but that said I've had no issues with it compared to any of the old versions going back a long way which at times were rather buggy.

That is correct, I do not want New Outlook and neither do others that I help with Windows and M365 issues, though I must admit I am not expert.
The features that have been removed from Classic such as the Outbox, Emptying the Delete folders when closing Outlook just to mention two I find it petty.

Microsoft has a page about downloading classic Outlook for new 365 installations:

Starting in 2024, many new devices are preinstalled with new Outlook for Windows and the classic Outlook app isn't included.

A lot of the older members like to use PST files, adjust settings and also create their own filters.
This wouldn’t be all bad if Microsoft had of actually completed the New Outlook before making people transition with (by their own admittance) a fraction of the capabilities of “Classic” so far added.

UI’s can be overcome, removing everything that people are used to, not so easy.
