The latest Insider build 8.88 was fully released and this is what we were working on.
What’s new?
Quote non-text messages on all Platforms. Previously, you could only quote text, but now, you can quote photos and GIFs.
Stability improvements
Bug fixes:
As usual, all new features are rolling out gradually over the next couple of days so if you don’t see them right away, just check again soon.
- Message notifications causing the phone to ring once on iOS
- "Show myself in the grid" option could not be deselected on the New Call Screen menu, on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10
- Group name text cutoff while creating a moderate group on iOS
- Quoted non-text messages' view was cutoff while in narrow view on Mac
- Downloading files not working on Mac
- Switching Skype accounts changing Call Forwarding settings for previously signed in account on all Platforms
- Quoting/replying to a quoted message was navigating to the end of conversation instead of navigating to the quoted message on Android
