UEFI flaw discovered by... security researchers working for a video game company that has a prominent anti-cheat feature.
Did not have that one on my bingo card.

I found a security advisory for Asus boards. See the first link in the table CVE-2025-11901 in my URL below. Click the thumbnail below for full details. I checked the bios setting Asus mention and I had to change it to the Enable Full Protection setting. On my Asus ProArt Z790 this setting was under the Advanced menu in the bios. The computer booted successfully after the change.
