New X-Lite Optimum is out!

Any more news about FBConan? Are all of you happy with is OS and how it runs? I see nothing new on the site and I do not see the V3 to download either.
I've checked Team OS XYS's forums, he's banned there and I'm clueless as to where else he frequents online because he's pretty damn inexistent online generally, lol. Team OS is a great forum, however. Him and X-Lite gone/missing in action doesn't mean the end of it nor a big block on the road for other custom modded Windows projects. Outside of Windows 11 projects, they even offer modded Linux distros and a buncha great other goodies on there as well.

Thanks for the info. Guess that's why he/they pulled the V3 from the site. He got my $10 bucks for it and it runs just fine.

I do not get this. It has been posted in this forum that a USER does not own Windows 11 but users only have an RTU? If this is so, how can the developer of this OS get away with doing this? Microsoft obviously knows about it as when I used this, Windows Update worked just fine.🤷‍♂️

It is a shame that a third party dev can make a better Windows than MS, but eventually I was persuaded to set aside my puritanical approach and try X-Lite over a year ago. It still runs stable although I must be fair to say that I don't use that PC a whole lot. My daughter however does. She has no complaints. She games on it and does all the things she normally does on Windows. She loves the idea of having no CO-PILOT. She enjoys not having One Drive constantly attempting to hijack her system. I didn't tell her that it doesn't come with Recall. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't be disappointed to discover that. The X-Lite version of Windows also let's you make backups for your OS. My experience was that it did this smoothly, without interruption, and quickly. Results may vary. I can only speak from personal experience.

TBH I would much rather see MS do a better job with their OS. If they want to experiment with the user the OS should be free. They should not be treating paying end users like beta testers. If they want licensed subscribers they should at least offer the subscriber a "no muss no fuss" streamline version for a very reasonable price whereupon the user can pick and choose additional apps from the Windows Store. If they don't do this soon they will stand to lose even more revenue on the Windows OS as users are increasingly discovering how simple, safe, and convenient Linux is becoming. No head games, no manipulation, no advertising inundation, and NO, not everything has to be done in terminal.

I've been a Windows user since the turn of the millennium (and a little before that) I'm saddened to see where Windows has gone since the days of Win XP and Win 7. It's like watching an old friend get hooked on a controlled substance and slowly die from selfishness and greed. This is hardly the Windows I used to know and love.
